Which AI assistants work with AIToURL?
Any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors with OAuth: Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT (developer mode on paid plans), Gemini (where custom connectors are available), Cursor and more.
How does my AI send big files?
Most file tools make the model paste the file as base64 text into the conversation, which is slow, burns context and breaks on anything larger than a few hundred KB. AIToURL gives your AI a one-time upload link: agents with network access (Claude Code, Cursor…) upload the real file directly, and in chat apps you can drop it on a page in one click. Documents your AI writes don't need a file at all: it sends the text and AIToURL builds the PDF.
Can I upload a file myself, without an AI?
Yes. Drop any file in your dashboard to get its link. The AI connector is the fast lane, not a requirement.
Can I use my links in tools like schedulers or automation apps?
Yes, with Pro: Pro links point straight to the file, so posting and automation tools can fetch it. Free links open a short AIToURL page first, which works for people but not for tools.
Can people find my other files?
No. Each link contains a long random identifier and opens only that file. There is no public listing.
What happens to files on the free plan?
They stay online as long as they are used: a file is deleted 90 days after its last download. Pro files never expire.
What file types can I publish?
Documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EPUB, TXT, Markdown, CSV), images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP), videos (MP4, MOV, WebM), audio (MP3, M4A, WAV) and ZIP archives: up to 25 MB per file on Free, 250 MB on Pro. Executables, web pages and scripts are not accepted.
